Thankful Friday!

It's one week before Christmas Eve- there is snow on the ground and presents under our lit tree. We are snuggy warm in our house and love each other dearly. What more could a girl ask for?

Thank you, Lord that I have a home. I can't help but think a lot about the homeless during this week of bitter coldness we have had across the country. I wonder, how do they do it? How do they survive? Bless them, Lord. Help me to bless them, too.

This week, I'm thankful for:

Gifts bought and wrapped

Christmas preparations early for once!

The anticipation of a fun Christmas Eve and Day with family

Great teachers at Church who are kind and gentile with my son and teach him about God's Son

My sweet husband who is my hero

Pecan Tassies and Peppermint anything

Thank you, Lord for providing for me!

What are YOU thankful for this week?

  1. I'm thankful for a warm home, and wonderful family coming to visit! And healthy children, so very thankful for that.

  2. the nerve of that girl--moving microphones and telling God the truth
the nerve of that boy who I swear is practicing for the job of being shot out of a cannon
the sickness that has all of us housebound and relaxing together
snow and the cardinal that sits in the top of the tree in spite of it
    jingle bells
    The Christmas Carol
Addressing Christmas cards bringing back all those memories of love
the promise that though our love is separated now we will have an eternity to "catch up"
i'm getting carried away, i had better stop now

  3. For so many things, both seen and unseen. Besides being safe, healthy and warm, I am thankful for His grace, mercy, love and for the fact that once I had my own child I really understand the sacrifice of Jesus. I don't love anyone enough to let my son die for them.

  4. I too, am thankful for many things that Sarah mentioned...

Homebound with two sick kids. One more so than the other. Three out of four of us with colds. But I am thankful that Brenna is home and I am home with her and I am tending to her and no one else is. I am thankful for the cuddling and the relaxing.

I am thankful for Vicks. I want them to make candles.

I am thankful for my husband and his last minute Christmas shopping charm.

I am thankful for my mom and my mother-in-law. Sometimes both can frustrate me, yet sometimes I don't know how I would get things done without them.

Red nail polish, green nail polish, sparkle nail polish.

Anticipating GIFT giving to those I love!

Possibly shopping ALONE this evening while my husband stays home with the sick crew. (Provided of course that no one gets worse and needs mommy.)

    Friends!!!!!!

The fact that I am longwinded and can recognized (as Sarah can) when it's time to stop!
